Machine Repair Technician

About the role

The Machine Repair Technician will ensure that all construction and site equipment operates safely and efficiently. Working on a variety of machinery such as payloaders, concrete mixers, pumps and generators, you will be the first line of response to breakdowns on the job site.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, service and repair construction equipment, including diesel engines, hydraulic systems and electrical components.
• Carry out routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Respond promptly to equipment failures to minimise operational delays.
• Replace worn or damaged parts and verify that all repairs meet safety standards.
• Document work performed and report any recurring issues.
• Perform additional maintenance duties as assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• Proven experience (minimum 24 months) as a mechanic or repair technician on construction or heavy‑duty equipment.
• Relevant technical certification or vocational training is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems quickly and pay close attention to detail.
