Logistics, Supply Chain & Procurement Officer

About the role

The Procurement & Logistics Officer will manage end‑to‑end procurement and import activities for equipment, spare parts, consumables and technical materials sourced from international suppliers. You will coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs agents and internal teams to ensure timely, cost‑effective delivery across Nigeria.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate sea and air shipments with overseas suppliers and freight forwarders, maintaining a live tracker for status, ETA and cost.
• Prepare and verify import documents (invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin) and manage customs clearance with Nigerian authorities.
• Ensure compliance with NAFDAC, SON and other regulatory requirements, keeping audit‑ready records of duties and fees.
• Oversee last‑mile delivery to client sites, managing local transport partners and resolving delivery issues promptly.
• Track landed cost per shipment, produce status reports and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Source and evaluate international suppliers, negotiate pricing, delivery schedules and commercial terms, and manage RFQs, purchase orders and contracts.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of experience in import/export operations, freight forwarding or supply chain management in Nigeria.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian customs procedures, tariff classification and import documentation.
• Existing relationships with clearing agents or freight forwarders are a plus.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and solve problems before they cause delays.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for shipment tracking, cost calculation and reporting.
