Logistics Operations Supervisor

About the role

The Logistics Operations Supervisor will lead daily logistics and freight activities, coordinating import and export shipments between China and Nigeria. This role ensures timely delivery, compliance, and high‑quality service for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily logistics and freight operations, including express air, expedited, and ocean freight.
• Coordinate import and export shipments from China to Nigeria, managing schedules and documentation.
• Liaise with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, airlines, and clearing agents.
• Track shipments, provide updates to customers, and resolve operational challenges promptly.
• Ensure customs compliance and accurate shipping documentation.
• Lead and support logistics coordinators, dispatch personnel, and customer service staff.
• Develop and improve processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Maintain operational records, shipment reports, and performance metrics.
• Handle customer complaints professionally and ensure prompt resolution.

Required profile

• HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience in freight forwarding, import/export logistics, shipping, or supply chain operations.
• Strong knowledge of China‑to‑Nigeria trade routes and international shipping processes.
• Leadership, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
• Preference for candidates residing in Agege, Ogba, Ikeja, Abule Egba, Iju, Ifako, Alimosho or nearby areas.
