Logistics Operations Manager – China to Nigeria Shipping

About the role

Yoris Africa is seeking a Logistics Operations Manager to lead its international freight movements from China to Nigeria and to oversee local last‑mile delivery across Nigeria. This full‑time position will ensure efficient, cost‑effective movement of goods while supporting the company’s growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate end‑to‑end logistics workflows for China‑to‑Nigeria shipments, including freight forwarding, customs clearance, and cargo handling.
• Manage warehouse operations, inventory control, and local distribution networks within Nigeria.
• Oversee last‑mile delivery teams to guarantee timely and accurate customer fulfillment.
• Track shipments, resolve issues, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Develop and nurture relationships with logistics partners, suppliers, and freight forwarders.
• Drive customer acquisition and retention by converting leads into paying clients and identifying new business opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in logistics operations, supply chain management, or freight forwarding.
• Deep understanding of China‑to‑Nigeria shipping processes, customs procedures, and cargo management.
• Track record of managing local distribution and last‑mile delivery networks.
• Strong network within logistics, procurement, importation, e‑commerce, or manufacturing sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to convert leads into long‑term customers and contribute to revenue growth.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
