Logistics Officer

About the role

The Logistics Officer provides comprehensive logistics support to ensure smooth office operations, fleet management, IT assistance, and asset control in line with International Medical Corps policies and donor regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Office management: act as focal point for daily office logistics, initiate procurement requests, track contracts, manage supplies, coordinate maintenance and safety equipment.
• Fleet management: compile weekly vehicle schedules, assign trips to drivers, monitor daily movements, ensure timely refueling of vehicles and generators, and support driver orientation and safety briefings.
• Information and technology support: assist the IT department with new user account setup, basic troubleshooting and device connectivity.
• Asset management: implement IMC asset policies, log and track assets with unique IDs, coordinate custodian handovers, support monthly reconciliations, and manage asset maintenance, appraisal, and disposal processes.
• Fraud prevention: maintain accurate filing systems for procurement transactions and support fraud risk reduction in accordance with IMC policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transport Management or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of logistics experience.
• Strong interpersonal and team skills with ability to work in multi‑ethnic, multicultural teams and remote, harsh environments.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.

• Cognos reporting tools.
