Linesmen – High-Voltage Transmission – Abuja

About the role

We are looking for experienced Linesmen to join our on-site team in Abuja, Nigeria. The role involves constructing, repairing and maintaining high-voltage transmission lines and related infrastructure for a leading EPC contractor in the power sector.

Key responsibilities

• Install, inspect and maintain power line systems, including high-voltage conductors and fiber-optic cables.
• Perform construction, repair and routine maintenance of 330/132/33 kV transmission lines.
• Work safely at heights and in challenging environments, following all safety protocols.
• Collaborate with engineers and project teams to meet project schedules and quality standards.
• Interpret technical drawings and project plans to execute tasks accurately.

Required profile

• Proven experience in power line construction, installation and repair.
• Ability to handle high-voltage equipment and tools safely.
• Physical fitness for working at heights and in demanding conditions.
• Relevant vocational training or certifications in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Prior experience in high-voltage power transmission projects is preferred.
