Project Quantity Surveyor

About the role

The Project Quantity Surveyor will lead cost management for civil, mechanical and electrical scopes across major industrial and heavy engineering projects, ensuring accurate budgeting, contract administration and financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain Bills of Quantities, cost estimates and budget forecasts.
• Draft, review and manage contracts with contractors, subcontractors and consultants.
• Conduct site measurements, progress audits and certify interim payment applications.
• Analyse, negotiate and defend variations and claims to protect the project budget.
• Maintain a live cost ledger, providing Earned Value Analysis and cash‑flow forecasts to senior management.
• Administer change control, ensuring proper valuation, approval and documentation of scope changes.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Quantity Surveying.
• Professional membership in NIQS and registration with QSRBN.
• At least 8 years of commercial cost‑management experience on major industrial, heavy‑engineering or fast‑track commercial construction projects.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to contract details and ethical vendor negotiation.
