Life Investment & Risk Management Officer

About the role

Custodian Life Assurance Ltd., a Nigeria-based insurer offering life assurance and related products, is hiring Life Investment & Risk Management Officers. This is a full-time position based in Lagos with a hybrid arrangement, combining on-site duties with some work-from-home flexibility.

Key responsibilities

• Manage client portfolios and respond to client inquiries.
• Resolve customer issues related to life assurance products in a timely way.
• Maintain regular contact with clients, explain insurance offerings and policy details, and support claims and policy administration.
• Promote customer satisfaction through proactive communication.
• Work with internal teams to close new business with high-net-worth individuals, ensure accurate documentation and compliance with company policies, and identify opportunities to deepen relationships and retain customers.

Required profile

• NCE/OND and HND/BSc (in view).
• Foundational understanding of insurance concepts, life assurance products and related regulations, or willingness to learn quickly.
• Relevant academic background in Business, Insurance, Finance or a related field is an advantage.
• Prior experience in financial services, insurance or client support in Lagos or similar markets is beneficial.

Required skills

• Client-facing skills, including building a client database, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Effective verbal and written communication to explain insurance products and policies.
• Good organisational and time management skills, with attention to detail in handling client records.
• Proficiency in basic office software and CRM tools.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment and collaborate with diverse teams.
