About the role
Jomav Homes is seeking a Legal Officer to support its real‑estate operations in Ekiti. The role involves providing legal expertise on property transactions, compliance, and dispute resolution to ensure smooth development and sales activities.
Key responsibilities
- Draft, review and negotiate purchase/sale agreements, leases and development contracts.
- Ensure compliance with real‑estate laws, zoning and environmental regulations, identifying and mitigating legal risks.
- Conduct due‑diligence investigations for property acquisitions and disposals.
- Manage regulatory filings, licences and permits with relevant government bodies.
- Provide legal advice to management and operational teams on property law and development matters.
- Handle pre‑litigation, mediation and litigation for real‑estate disputes.
- Coordinate and supervise external counsel for complex cases.
- Assist with corporate governance matters, registrations and renewals.
Required profile
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB or LLM) and Call to the Nigerian Bar (B.L.).
- At least 12 months of experience in real‑estate law or related property transactions.
- Strong knowledge of property, tenancy, contract law and corporate governance.
