About the role

The Legal Contracts Specialist is a key legal advisor who manages contractual relationships and documentation from start to finish. The role safeguards the company's interests by ensuring agreements meet legal standards and internal policies, and mitigates potential liabilities. It is a strategic partnership with management and project teams, covering complex commercial negotiations and dispute resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate contracts, agreements and legal documentation.
• Give legal and contractual guidance to senior management and project teams.
• Check that contractual obligations comply with laws, regulations and company policies.
• Identify, assess and manage contractual risks and liabilities.
• Monitor contract terms, obligations, deadlines and deliverables.
• Support tender documents, bids and commercial negotiation strategies.
• Manage contract variations, claims and dispute resolution.
• Act as main contact with clients, contractors, consultants and external lawyers.
• Maintain accurate records of contracts and related documents.
• Advise on compliance, risk management and legal requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience drafting, negotiating and managing complex commercial contracts.
• Ability to give sound legal advice to non-legal stakeholders.
• In-depth knowledge of applicable laws, regulations and compliance frameworks.
• Experience in tendering, bid management and commercial negotiations.
• Excellent communication and liaison skills with external parties.
• Meticulous attention to detail in keeping accurate legal records.
