Learning, Monitoring & Evaluation Officer (Abuja)

About the role

The Learning, Monitoring & Evaluation Officer will design, implement and strengthen systems that support learning, measurement, monitoring, evaluation, accountability and reporting across programmes. Working closely with program teams, you will ensure activities are tracked, results measured and evidence generated to inform decision‑making and improve impact.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor project implementation and track progress toward outputs, outcomes and impact across all programme areas.
• Design, review and strengthen the organisation’s Learning, Measurement and Evaluation (LME) systems.
• Develop and implement MEAL frameworks, tools and processes.
• Lead data collection, analysis and interpretation to support evidence‑based decisions.
• Conduct periodic evaluations and assessments of programme performance and impact.
• Collaborate with programme teams to develop indicators, results frameworks and data collection plans.
• Produce internal and external reports, dashboards and presentations highlighting achievements and lessons learned.
• Facilitate learning sessions and document best practices, success stories and lessons learned.
• Build capacity of staff and partners on monitoring tools, data quality assurance and learning approaches.
• Assess existing M&E systems and recommend improvements.
• Support proposal development by designing MEAL plans, indicators and reporting frameworks.
• Represent the organisation in stakeholder meetings, learning forums and technical networks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Monitoring and Evaluation, Development Studies, Social Sciences, Public Health, Economics, Project Management or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in monitoring, evaluation, learning, research, data management or programme quality.

• Competitive monthly salary ranging from N300,000 to N380,000.
