Lead Auditor

About the role

The publishing firm in Ibadan is looking for a qualified Lead Auditor to head its internal audit function. You will be responsible for strengthening risk management, ensuring compliance, and providing assurance across all departments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute annual audit plans covering operational, financial and compliance areas.
• Review internal control systems and recommend improvements.
• Investigate financial discrepancies and irregularities.
• Evaluate risk management processes across departments.
• Prepare audit reports and present findings to senior management.
• Monitor implementation of audit recommendations.
• Supervise and mentor audit team members.
• Conduct periodic stock, asset, procurement and inventory verification.
• Collaborate with external auditors as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline (MBA is a plus).
• Chartered Accountant certification at Associate level (ACA, ACCA or ANAN).
• 5‑7 years of audit experience with prior supervisory responsibilities.
