Lead Auditor – ISO 9001, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000 & Organic

About the role

NICERT Limited is expanding its network of freelance certification auditors. We seek experienced Lead Auditors qualified in ISO 9001:2015, ISO 22000:2018, FSSC 22000 Version 6, and Organic certification to support certification activities across Nigeria and beyond.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct Stage 1, Stage 2, surveillance, recertification, special, transfer, follow‑up, supplier and second‑party audits.
• Perform gap assessments and technical reviews where competence permits.
• Prepare clear audit reports and communicate findings to clients.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ISO 17021‑1 auditing principles.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma in a relevant discipline.
• Formal Lead Auditor training for the relevant standard(s).
• Strong report writing, communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage assignments based on competence, availability and client needs.

Required skills

• IRCA, Exemplar Global or equivalent ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certificate.
• Lead Auditor certification for ISO 22000, FSSC 22000 or Organic schemes (as applicable).
• Knowledge of ISO 17021‑1 auditing principles, process‑based and risk‑based auditing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and online meeting platforms.
