Lead Architect

About the role

The Lead Architect will drive the conceptualisation, planning and development of architectural designs across residential, commercial, institutional and mixed‑use projects. You will ensure designs are innovative, functional, sustainable and aligned with client objectives while complying with all relevant codes and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the creation and approval of architectural drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Manage multiple projects from inception to completion, developing schedules, budgets and resource plans.
• Coordinate with structural, mechanical, electrical and civil engineers to deliver integrated solutions.
• Supervise and mentor architects, technologists and design staff, assigning tasks and providing technical guidance.
• Conduct design reviews, quality assurance checks and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
• Serve as the primary architectural contact for clients, consultants, contractors and regulatory authorities.
• Support business development through proposals, presentations and client engagements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from a recognised institution.
• Professional registration with the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria.
• Membership of the Nigerian Institute of Architects (preferred).
• Proven post‑qualification architectural experience (approximately 2 years).
