About the role

The Lab Technician supports the Computer Science department by assisting students during practical sessions and ensuring that all lab resources are operational. This position involves guiding students through hands‑on activities, maintaining equipment, and managing lab records to provide a smooth learning environment. Additionally, the technician is responsible for maintaining the stock register and handling student entry and exit records to support administrative processes.

Key responsibilities

Guide students during practical classes, helping them understand lab exercises and ensuring safety.
Maintain the computer systems used in the lab, including hardware checks, software updates, and troubleshooting.
Keep an accurate stock register of lab equipment and consumables, monitoring inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed.
Record student entry and exit times to ensure proper attendance tracking and lab security.
