About the role
This freelance position supports the recruitment team in Lagos, helping to source and screen candidates for open vacancies. You will gain hands‑on experience in job advertising, candidate assessment and HR administration.
Key responsibilities
- Listen to role requirements, take notes and search for suitable candidates.
- Assist in writing and posting job descriptions on advertising sites.
- Screen resumes, conduct initial phone screens and organise interviews.
- Enter and maintain candidate data in the CRM/ATS.
- Obtain references, background checks and work‑status documentation.
- Attend interviews, take notes on techniques and shadow consultants.
- Complete administrative tasks and maintain filing systems.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business or related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 1 year of recruitment experience.
- Strong organisational, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently, meet targets and manage workload.
Required skills
- Experience with a CRM or ATS system.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
