Junior Recruiter – Freelance

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Recruiter to join our team on a freelance basis in Lagos. You will support the recruitment process from sourcing to interview coordination, gaining hands‑on experience in talent acquisition.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the recruitment team to understand open vacancies and role requirements.
• Assist in drafting and posting job descriptions on advertising platforms.
• Screen resumes, conduct initial phone screens, and organise candidate interviews.
• Maintain candidate data in the CRM/ATS and ensure records are up‑to‑date.
• Gather references, background checks, and work‑status documentation.
• Attend interviews, take notes on techniques, and support interview logistics.
• Participate in sales and customer‑service training and shadow client meetings.
• Implement and manage an effective filing system for recruitment documents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in recruitment.
• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
• Goal‑oriented mindset with a willingness to meet targets.
• Basic knowledge of HR best practices is a plus.
• Attention to detail and problem‑solving capability.
