Junior Cisco Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Cisco Engineer to join Leaders Network’s networking team. The role supports the design, implementation and maintenance of our enterprise network infrastructure across LAN, WAN and wireless environments.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of enterprise network infrastructure.
• Support day‑to‑day operation of LAN, WAN, wireless, data‑center and security environments.
• Monitor network performance, availability and capacity using network management tools.
• Perform routine health checks and preventive maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot connectivity, routing, switching and wireless issues.
• Escalate complex incidents to senior engineers when required.
• Participate in incident, problem and change management processes.
• Configure and maintain routers, switches, wireless solutions and security devices.
• Manage IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing and network segmentation.
• Implement network access controls, security policies and firewall administration.
• Contribute to security reviews, compliance checks and vulnerability remediation.
• Support network deployment, migration, upgrade and optimization projects.
• Prepare and maintain documentation, reports, network diagrams and configuration records.
• Assist with pre‑sales activities, proof‑of‑concept deployments and technical demonstrations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.
• 1–3 years of experience in networking, IT infrastructure or technical support (or relevant internship/project experience).
• Basic understanding of TCP/IP, routing and switching, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, NAT and VPN.
• Exposure to enterprise network environments is an added advantage.
