IT Officer

About the role

El-Precious Consulting is hiring a full-time IT Officer in Mowe, Ogun State. The role covers the day-to-day management, maintenance and support of the organisation's computers, printers, servers, network infrastructure and other IT equipment, as well as providing technical support to staff.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, maintain and troubleshoot computers, printers, servers, network infrastructure and other IT equipment.
• Provide technical support to employees, resolving hardware, software, connectivity and system issues promptly.
• Install, configure, update and maintain operating systems, applications and business software.
• Monitor network performance and ensure reliable internet connectivity and access to IT resources.
• Implement and maintain IT security measures such as antivirus protection, access controls, data protection and regular system updates.
• Manage user accounts, email accounts, permissions and access to organisational systems.
• Conduct regular data backups and support data recovery when required.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets, software licences, equipment and warranties.
• Coordinate IT equipment procurement, repairs and maintenance, and liaise with external IT vendors and service providers.
• Develop and maintain IT documentation, including system configurations, troubleshooting procedures and support records.
• Support the introduction of new technologies, digital tools and IT systems, and ensure compliance with IT policies and data protection requirements.
• Identify IT risks and recommend improvements, and provide basic IT training to employees.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5-6 years of relevant experience in IT support, systems administration, network management or a similar role.
• Experience managing IT assets, vendors and technical support requests.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, software installation and troubleshooting.
• Practical experience with network configuration, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches and internet connectivity troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, email administration and user account management.
• Knowledge of IT security, data backup and recovery, and endpoint protection.
