IT Officer Hardware and Infrastructure

About the role

The IT Officer – Hardware and Infrastructure will be responsible for maintaining the company’s IT environment, ensuring reliable network and hardware operations, and providing prompt support to users across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Administer endpoint and network security solutions and deliver help‑desk support both remotely and on‑site.
• Install, configure, and maintain structured cabling, wired and wireless networks, routers, switches, and internet connectivity.
• Perform preventive maintenance, system health checks, and performance monitoring of IT infrastructure.
• Manage email systems, backup/storage/archiving solutions, and conduct regular backup integrity tests.
• Provide remote technical support to branch offices and outstations.
• Install, upgrade, and replace computer hardware components such as RAM, expansion cards, and storage devices.
• Configure, deploy, and maintain on‑premises virtual machines and virtualization infrastructure.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
• Maintain accurate documentation of network diagrams, system configurations, and support procedures.
• Monitor infrastructure availability and implement corrective actions to minimise downtime.

Required profile

• B.Sc. or HND in a related field with at least a second class lower grade.
• Age between 22 and 28 years.
• WAEC certificate with minimum five credits, including Mathematics and English.
• Completed NYSC programme.
• Entry‑level experience (approximately 12 months) with a solid understanding of networking and Microsoft 365.
