Inventory Team Lead (Full Time)

About the role

The Inventory Team Lead supervises a team of inventory operators, ensuring accurate and efficient stock management throughout the warehouse lifecycle—from receiving to cycle counts and reporting. This role works closely with cross‑functional teams to optimise inventory processes and maintain a safe, organised environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coach a team of inventory operators, assigning tasks and ensuring compliance with SOPs and safety standards.
• Oversee receiving, storing, counting, and tracking of inventory, collaborating with other departments to streamline workflows.
• Conduct regular cycle counts, physical inventories and reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor inventory levels and stock movements, update records and generate KPI reports for senior management.
• Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers to manage inbound shipments and resolve receiving issues.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse environment.
• Prepare and present regular performance reports to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience in warehouse operations or inventory management with demonstrated leadership abilities.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Results‑oriented mindset focused on continuous improvement.
• Flexibility to work variable shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays, and possession of NYSC certificate or valid exemption.
