Inventory Controller

About the role

The Inventory Controller will manage the flow of goods within the warehouse, ensuring accurate receipt, storage, issuance and record‑keeping of client stock. Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, the role supports Good Warehousing Practice and client service level agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, identify, unpack, and store incoming items, attaching identification tags as required.
• Issue stock to fulfill requisitions and update physical binders immediately after each transaction.
• Maintain optimal warehouse layout, determine storage locations and maximise space utilisation.
• Conduct regular physical inventory checks, resolve discrepancies and report any issues within 24 hours.
• Update stock expiry, damaged or quarantined items in coordination with Quality Assurance and the CSM.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, SLAs and Good Warehousing Practice, including temperature and safety standards.
• Supervise material‑handling equipment operators and promote a safety‑first culture in line with HSEQ policy.
• Monitor warehouse security, cleanliness and protection of company assets.

Required profile

• Graduate degree or HND in Natural/Social Sciences or related discipline.
• 1–2 years post‑qualification experience in warehousing, inventory management or store‑keeping.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control processes.
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to work collaboratively, multitask and follow established procedures.
