Internal Auditor – Full‑time, Lagos

About the role

The Internal Auditor will support the Head of Internal Audit in planning and executing comprehensive audits across the company’s finance, operations and compliance functions. Based in Lagos, the role focuses on identifying control weaknesses, assessing risk and recommending improvements to safeguard assets and ensure regulatory adherence.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct financial, system, transactional and operational audit reviews, both as a team member and leader.
• Discuss audit findings with process owners and department heads, draft recommendations and support finalisation of audit reports.
• Prepare work papers, risk matrices and documentation in line with professional internal audit standards.
• Assess revenue leakage, asset accountability and the reliability of financial controls.
• Assist in fraud investigations and the development of internal control frameworks as directed by the Chief Audit Officer.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting and Finance.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in audit or accounts management, working with senior management.
• Professional certification such as ICAN or equivalent.
