Insurance Sales Representative

About the role

The Insurance Sales Representative will work full‑time in a hybrid setting from Lagos, combining on‑site client visits with remote activities. You will be responsible for prospecting, presenting, and enrolling customers in Leadway’s range of life and non‑life insurance products while delivering a high‑quality client experience.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and engage prospective individual and corporate clients.
• Present tailored insurance solutions and guide customers through policy selection and enrollment.
• Conduct sales meetings, prepare customized proposals, and follow up on leads.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities in the CRM system.
• Respond to customer inquiries, explain policy terms, and address basic claims‑related questions.
• Collaborate with internal underwriting and support teams to ensure smooth processing.
• Achieve defined sales targets and stay updated on product portfolio, regulatory requirements, and market trends.

Required profile

• Proven insurance sales track record with ability to meet or exceed targets.
• Practical knowledge of insurance products and brokerage practices.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to build long‑term trust‑based relationships.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a hybrid environment, managing time and priorities.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, finance, marketing or related field.
• Relevant experience in insurance or financial services; professional certifications are a plus.
