Insurance Sales and Marketing Executive

About the role

Heirs Life Assurance, part of Heirs Insurance Group, a family of insurance companies headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria, is looking for a dynamic, results-driven salesperson. You will drive new business, nurture lasting client relationships and achieve sales targets, directly contributing to the company's growth.

Key responsibilities

• Pursue new business through cold calling, networking, referrals and social media
• Build long-term customer relationships and offer tailored insurance solutions
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products and give presentations and product demonstrations to individuals and corporate prospects
• Negotiate terms, finalise contracts and close deals
• Meet or exceed sales quotas and performance objectives
• Provide after-sales support, stay informed on industry trends and competitors, and report sales activity and performance to management
• Work with marketing, product and customer service teams

Required profile

• Proven sales experience; insurance or financial services experience is an advantage
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related field preferred
• Track record of exceeding sales targets
• Ability to work independently and in a team; island residents are highly preferred

• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Strong negotiation and closing abilities
• Proficiency in modern sales techniques and CRM tools
• Problem-solving, objection handling, time management and self-motivation
