Insurance Marketer

About the role

Leadway, a Nigerian non-banking financial services provider offering life and non-life insurance, pension funds, health management, asset management and wills and trusts, is hiring an Insurance Marketer in Lagos. This is a full-time hybrid role combining on-site and work-from-home duties, focused on developing new business, promoting insurance products and building relationships with individual clients.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities and build relationships with individual potential clients.
• Conduct market research, prospect and qualify leads, and prepare proposals and presentations.
• Follow up on inquiries to close sales and collaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions to client needs.
• Ensure accurate documentation and stay up to date on Leadway's offerings and industry trends.
• Take part in marketing campaigns, networking events and client engagement activities to drive brand awareness and revenue growth.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Marketing, Business, Finance or a related field; insurance or financial services certifications are an advantage.
• Previous experience in insurance, banking or other financial services marketing or sales is highly beneficial.
• Comfort with hybrid work arrangements.

Required skills

• Sales, negotiation and client relationship management, with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
• Marketing and business development, including lead generation, campaign participation and brand promotion.
• Communication and presentation skills, able to explain insurance products and financial solutions clearly.
• Analytical and research skills, and good organization and time management.
• Proficiency in basic digital tools such as CRM systems and productivity and collaboration software.
