Industrial Camp Boss / Site General Manager

About the role

The Camp Boss / Site General Manager is the single point of operational accountability for an industrial campus, ensuring safety, security, infrastructure reliability and a hospitality‑grade experience for all residents, staff and visitors. This senior leadership role requires total ownership of the site’s physical assets and services, similar to a ship’s captain overseeing every department.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all planned preventive and reactive maintenance across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, civil works and critical equipment such as generators, pumps, transformers and water‑treatment systems.
• Maintain an asset register, schedule upkeep and meet documented uptime targets while ensuring power and water continuity.
• Oversee groundskeeping, waste management and overall site appearance to high visual standards.
• Manage security protocols, access control, CCTV, visitor management and supervise the security workforce, including incident response and emergency drills.
• Deliver a five‑star hospitality experience through staff accommodation, guesthouses, catering and event hosting, applying hotel‑level service standards.
• Control contractor performance, SLAs and costs, and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience operating a large industrial facility, base or comparable site with full accountability for all functions.
• Strong ownership mindset – “my department” attitude and zero tolerance for delegated gaps.
• Ability to lead sizable multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple vendors.
• Commitment to safety, security and high‑quality guest experience.
