Immunization and Cold Chain Consultant

About the role

VillageReach is seeking an independent Immunization and Cold Chain Consultant to support implementation of outreach activities and cold chain solutions in either Kaduna or Katsina State, Nigeria. The consultant will work closely with state and local health authorities, community representatives and partners to assess needs, test solutions and document learning.

Key responsibilities

• Engage state and LGA stakeholders, secure site approvals and document community outreach preferences.
• Review micro‑plans, session records and logistics; conduct field observations and stakeholder interviews using VillageReach assessment tools.
• Organise field visits, workshops and planning exercises; support equipment deployment, orientation and field testing.
• Collect quantitative and qualitative data, maintain records and produce regular progress reports.
• Facilitate testing of draft planning tools, capture user feedback and recommend refinements.
• Maintain activity and deliverable trackers, arrange logistics and submit all agreed deliverables on schedule.

Required profile

• Proven experience in immunization program implementation or cold‑chain logistics in low‑resource settings.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple deliverables and coordinate with government and community partners.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, with experience documenting field learning.
