ICT Director – Campus IT Leadership

About the role

The ICT Director will lead the university’s information technology strategy and operations, ensuring that technology supports teaching, research and administrative functions across the campus.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the campus IT strategy aligned with the university’s overall vision.
• Manage day‑to‑day IT operations, including network, servers, systems and security.
• Oversee technology support services for faculty, staff and students.
• Lead IT projects such as system implementations, upgrades and enhancements.
• Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with vendors.
• Prepare and control the campus IT budget, identifying cost‑saving opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies, standards and relevant regulations.
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of IT professionals.

Required profile

• 8‑12 years of relevant IT operations management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
• Proven experience in IT strategy, infrastructure management and digital transformation.
• Strong leadership, project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, ITIL or PMI are advantageous.

• Network infrastructure design and management (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs).
• Telecommunications systems including VoIP, PSTN, SIP and mobile networks.
• Network security protocols and tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN).
• Virtualization technologies and NFV.
• Network monitoring and management tools.
