HR Officer – Support Clinic Workforce in Lagos

About the role

We are looking for an organized, people‑focused HR Officer to support the day‑to‑day human resources operations of our clinic. The role involves attracting and onboarding staff, maintaining employee records, and promoting a respectful, professional workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling and reference checks.
• Prepare offer letters, employment documents and onboarding plans for new employees.
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, leave records and HR documentation.
• Track attendance, leave and staff schedules in coordination with clinic management.
• Support payroll preparation by providing accurate staff, attendance and leave information.
• Coordinate staff inductions, training and professional development.
• Assist with performance reviews, probation assessments and employee development plans.
• Respond to routine staff questions and help resolve workplace concerns promptly.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant HR experience; experience in a healthcare, dental or service environment is an advantage.
• Practical experience supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee records, attendance and performance processes.
• Good working knowledge of HR administration and applicable Nigerian employment requirements.
• Professional HR certification or progress toward one is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
