HR Manager – People Operations Lead

About the role

We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to lead people operations for ANTA Sports in Nigeria. The role will shape HR strategy, ensure compliance with local labour law and support the growth of our retail and corporate teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with Nigerian labour legislation.
• Lead end‑to‑end recruitment and talent acquisition for retail and corporate positions.
• Oversee employee onboarding, engagement, performance management and retention programmes.
• Provide guidance to managers on employee‑relations issues and resolve conflicts.
• Coordinate payroll, benefits administration and day‑to‑day HR operations.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation and internal policies.
• Support organisational development, training initiatives and succession planning.
• Prepare HR reports, workforce analytics and presentations for senior management.
• Promote a positive, high‑performance culture aligned with ANTA values.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of HR management experience, preferably in a retail sports brand or multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian labour laws and HR best practices.
• Proven experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management and HR operations.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented setting.
