HR Executive

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Executive to lead our human resources function for a manufacturing plant in Aba, Abia State. You will partner with department heads to align workforce planning with production goals and ensure compliance with Nigerian labour regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end recruitment and onboarding for plant and operational roles.
• Manage employee relations, grievances, disciplinary actions and union liaison.
• Validate monthly payroll inputs, oversee statutory remittances and support audits.
• Administer benefits, leave, HMO and PPE issuance.
• Coordinate performance appraisals, personal development plans and safety trainings.
• Prepare monthly HR metrics reports and maintain audit‑ready personnel records.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration or related field.
• Professional HR certification (CIPM/ACIPM) preferred.
• At least 3 years of HR experience, with 2 years in a manufacturing or plant environment.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian labour laws, Factory Act and related statutory requirements.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation and communication abilities.
