Hotel General Manager – Lagos

About the role

Our client, a leading hospitality operator in Lagos, is seeking an experienced Hotel General Manager to lead all aspects of hotel operations. The role involves driving revenue growth, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and managing a high‑performing team in a dynamic market.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversee day‑to‑day hotel operations.
• Develop and implement business strategies to increase occupancy, revenue and profitability.
• Lead business development initiatives and forge partnerships to enhance market presence.
• Maintain the highest standards of guest service and resolve guest concerns promptly.
• Monitor budgets, financial performance and operational costs, ensuring profitability.
• Mentor, supervise and evaluate departmental managers and staff.
• Establish and enforce operational policies, procedures and compliance standards.
• Analyse market trends and adjust strategies to stay competitive.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years proven experience as a Hotel General Manager.
• Extensive background managing hotel operations, preferably in Lagos.
• Strong business development and revenue‑generation track record.
• Demonstrated ability to improve profitability and operational performance.
• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or related field.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
