Homeschool English Teacher

About the role

We are looking for a passionate Homeschool English Teacher to deliver high‑quality English language instruction in a home environment in Abuja. The successful candidate will nurture reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary and comprehension skills while creating a supportive and engaging learning atmosphere.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver tailored English lessons that match the child’s age, ability and learning goals.
• Teach core language skills including grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, creative writing, spelling, speaking and listening.
• Prepare detailed lesson plans, worksheets and teaching resources; keep accurate records of lessons, assignments and progress.
• Foster a positive, motivating environment that encourages confidence, critical thinking and independent learning.
• Conduct regular quizzes, tests and assessments; provide constructive feedback and identify areas for improvement.
• Communicate regularly with parents, share progress reports and collaborate on learning objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience teaching English to children, preferably in a homeschool or private‑tutor setting.
• Strong ability to adapt teaching methods to individual learning styles.
