Home Tutor for Primary 2 in Ikate, Lagos

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated home tutor to support a Primary 2 student in Ikate, Lagos. The tutor will provide one‑on‑one instruction three days a week, focusing on core subjects and helping the child catch up academically.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver daily 1‑hour lessons on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 5:00 PM at the client’s home.
• Teach Basic Mathematics, English Language, and Phonics, reinforcing literacy, grammar, numeracy, and basic science concepts (Geography, History).
• Assess the child’s progress and adapt teaching methods to address falling‑behind areas and motivation needs.
• Maintain a supportive and engaging learning environment.

Required profile

• Experience working with lower primary children (Primary 2 level).
• Ability to follow the Nigerian Curriculum and tailor lessons to the child’s learning needs.
• Flexible schedule to accommodate the specified days and time.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Basic Mathematics.
• Strong command of English Language and Phonics instruction.
• Knowledge of introductory Geography and History topics.
