Home Tutor for Primary 1 – Phonics & Math (Alimosho, Lagos)

About the role

The client is seeking a home tutor for a Primary 1 student, Oyinkansola, in Alimosho, Lagos. The tutor will deliver interactive lessons focused on phonics, reading, handwriting, and basic numeracy, following the Nigerian Curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct 1.5‑hour tutoring sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 4:00 PM at the client’s home.
• Teach phonics, reading comprehension, handwriting, and elementary mathematics through engaging activities.
• Monitor progress and adapt lesson plans to meet the child’s learning needs.
• Maintain a supportive and encouraging learning environment.

Required profile

• Experience working with early‑primary children, preferably in a home‑tutoring setting.
• Ability to follow the Nigerian primary curriculum.
• Flexibility to work the specified days and times.
• Gender preference: any.

Required skills

• Knowledge of basic mathematics concepts for Primary 1.
• Proficiency in teaching phonics and early reading strategies.
• Competence in guiding handwriting development.
