About the role
We are seeking a dedicated home tutor to support a JSS 3 student in Anthony, Lagos. The tutor will focus on General Mathematics and Basic Sciences, preparing the student for the upcoming JSSCE/BECE checkpoint examinations.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver two 2‑hour tutoring sessions each week (Wednesday and Friday at 5:30 PM) at the client’s residence.
- Explain mathematical and scientific concepts clearly and accurately.
- Provide targeted practice and revision to build confidence for checkpoint exams.
- Monitor progress and adapt teaching methods to the student’s learning style.
- Motivate the student and maintain a disciplined, detail‑oriented learning environment.
Required profile
- Strong knowledge of the Nigerian secondary school Mathematics and Science curricula.
- Ability to communicate concepts in a clear, patient manner.
- Attention to detail and a focus on exam preparation.
- Willingness to travel to the client’s location in Lagos.
