About the role
We are seeking a detail‑oriented Healthcare Virtual Assistant to support our credentialing and billing team. Working remotely from Nigeria, you will help keep provider information accurate and ensure smooth insurance and claim processes for our U.S. telepsychiatry practice.
Key responsibilities
- Update provider profiles and payer portals such as CAQH and Availity.
- Monitor license and document expirations, flagging renewals early.
- Follow up with insurance payers on pending applications and claims.
- Verify patient insurance eligibility before scheduled visits.
- Assist with claim submission, handle denials, and track follow‑up actions.
- Maintain clean and up‑to‑date trackers and filing systems.
Required profile
- Strong written and spoken English.
- Excellent attention to detail and follow‑through.
- Reliable high‑speed internet with backup power.
- Quiet workspace and availability during U.S. Central Standard Time business hours.
- Prior healthcare, administrative or virtual‑assistant experience is a plus but not required.
Required skills
- Familiarity with CAQH portal.
- Familiarity with Availity portal.
