Health Promotion Officer

About the role

Mayristics Enterprise is hiring a Health Promotion Officer in Lagos (Marina) to develop and run health awareness programmes for employees and the wider public. The role covers education on healthy habits, organization of wellness events and collaboration with healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and promote health awareness programmes for employees and the public.
• Educate individuals and communities about healthy eating, physical activity, personal hygiene and disease prevention.
• Organize health talks, wellness campaigns and preventive healthcare awareness events.
• Promote regular medical checkups and early detection of health conditions.
• Share accurate information on common health concerns such as hypertension, diabetes and obesity.
• Encourage healthy workplace practices and employee wellness.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and organizations to deliver health education.
• Support community outreach and public health initiatives.
• Prepare educational materials, presentations and promotional content, and use social media to spread health messages.
• Collect feedback, prepare reports on activities and refer people to healthcare professionals when needed.

Required profile

• OND in Health Education, Public Health, Health Promotion, Community Health or a related field.
• Knowledge of preventive healthcare and healthy lifestyle practices.
• Ability to organize health campaigns and community outreach activities.
• Good communication, presentation, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Compassion, integrity and a commitment to public health education.
• Relevant professional registration where required for the duties performed.
