Head, Product Control & Accounting

About the role

Moniepoint is seeking a senior leader to head global product control and accounting functions. The role will drive the consolidation of financial statements at the holding-company level and oversee group financial reporting and audits across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure financial statements accurately reflect the health of the business across entities and regions.
• Lead preparation and consolidation of financial statements, delivering timely and accurate reporting at the holding-company level.
• Coordinate month-end closing for the holding entity and its subsidiaries.
• Oversee global accounting operations, including intercompany transactions, eliminations and reconciliations.
• Maintain IFRS compliance and manage local statutory reporting in all jurisdictions.
• Develop and manage global cost-allocation methodologies for shared expenses.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard financial integrity.
• Partner with finance leadership on process-improvement initiatives and new-entity accounting set-up.
• Manage auditor relationships and supervise external audits for the group.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA, ACCA or equivalent required.
• 10+ years of accounting experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role within a multi-country, multi-entity environment.
• Extensive experience with IFRS, consolidations and intercompany eliminations.
• Strong understanding of multi-currency consolidations and cost-allocation.
• Proven track record in fast-paced settings; Big 4 audit or advisory experience preferred.
