Head of Operations

About the role

Rekrut Consulting is seeking a dynamic Head of Operations to lead both marine and shore‑based activities across its fleet in Port Harcourt and the wider Rivers State region. The role is pivotal in driving operational efficiency, safety, and profitability while aligning with the company’s strategic growth objectives. Reporting to senior leadership, the incumbent will oversee all aspects of vessel performance, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead marine and shore‑based operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and profitability.
• Oversee fleet performance, vessel utilization, and maintenance planning.
• Ensure compliance with maritime regulations, industry standards, and HSE requirements.
• Manage operational budgets, monitor key performance indicators, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulators, and key stakeholders.
• Implement risk management strategies and mitigate operational hazards.
• Coordinate with engineering and logistics teams to optimize supply chain and support services.
• Contribute to business development efforts and identify growth opportunities.

Required profile

• Minimum BSc degree.
• At least 10 years of experience in a similar senior operational role.

• Salary range: NGN 2,000,000 – 3,000,000 per month.
