About the role
The British Council is seeking a senior leader to design, deliver and evaluate its Non‑formal Education (NFE) portfolio in Nigeria. The Head of NFE will provide technical expertise, ensure strategic alignment and drive high‑quality programme outcomes across grant‑funded and British Council‑funded initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of the NFE strategy for Nigeria, aligning with global and regional priorities.
- Provide operational leadership to the Nigeria NFE team, overseeing programme delivery, monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) and resource planning.
- Develop and manage a pipeline of grant‑funded and commercial opportunities, preparing proposals and meeting financial and impact KPIs.
- Oversee budgets, profitability, compliance and financial performance, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Represent the British Council in the NFE sector, building and managing strategic partnerships and external relationships.
