Head of Media Sales

About the role

Tentz is looking for a Head of Media Sales in Lagos to drive immediate revenue from its digital video inventory. The role combines agency relationship management, direct brand acquisition and end-to-end deal execution, with a fixed monthly salary plus uncapped commission on advertising revenue collected.

Key responsibilities

• Activate relationships with media planning and buying agencies so Tentz is included in their media plans, proposals and buying considerations, and pursue recurring agency billings.
• Pitch directly to brand managers, heads of marketing, marketing directors and CMOs to acquire commitments from brands in FMCG, fintech, banking, telecoms, alcoholic beverages, e-commerce and other high-spend categories.
• Package advertising inventory into commercial offerings, develop proposals, media plans, pitch decks and rate cards, and own the sales cycle from prospecting to billing and payment collection.
• Maintain a sales pipeline, report weekly commercial performance, track booked and collected revenue and monitor competitor pricing and market trends.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of advertising, digital media or media sales experience in the Nigerian market.
• An active network of media buying agencies, media planners and brand managers, with existing relationships ready to generate business immediately.
• Proven track record of personally closing significant advertising deals and converting relationships into paid campaigns.
• Experience selling digital advertising, online video, streaming, television or branded content.

Required skills

• Familiarity with ARCON regulations and advertising compliance.
• Strong pitching, presentation and negotiation ability; able to prepare proposals and close deals independently.
• Understanding of advertising margins, pricing, prepayment structures and credit management.

What we offer

• Fixed monthly salary of NGN 600,000 to 900,000.
• Uncapped commission on advertising revenue collected, plus quarterly performance bonuses.
