Head of Gas Business

About the role

The Head of Gas Business provides strategic leadership for the gas division, driving growth, operational excellence, profitability and market expansion while ensuring safety and customer satisfaction. This senior role aligns the gas operations with the Group’s overall objectives and reports performance to executive management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the strategic business plan for the Gas Business in line with corporate objectives.
• Drive revenue growth, profitability, market‑share expansion and sustainable performance across all gas operations.
• Oversee LPG plants, gas distribution channels and related operational activities.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities, partnerships and market‑expansion initiatives.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities and industry developments to inform strategic decisions.
• Manage gas procurement, storage, transportation and distribution efficiently.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, regulators, suppliers and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, safety standards and industry best practices.
• Develop policies, procedures and controls to improve operational efficiency and risk management.
• Guarantee health, safety, security and environmental compliance across all locations.
• Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts and performance reports.
• Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Lead, mentor and develop management teams to achieve business objectives.
• Collaborate with other business units to optimise synergies and overall Group performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry, including at least 7 years in a senior management or leadership role.
• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Engineering, Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, Finance or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of LPG operations, gas marketing, supply‑chain management and downstream oil & gas operations.
• Demonstrated experience in business development, operations management and commercial leadership.
• Desirable: MBA or master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering or related field; professional certifications in Management, Supply Chain, Operations or Project Management; membership of relevant professional bodies.
