Head of Credit, Marketing & Programs

About the role

We are looking for a senior leader to head credit, marketing and program functions for a fast‑growing micro‑finance bank based in Enugu. The role will drive loan portfolio growth, design marketing campaigns and oversee financial‑inclusion programmes while supporting the bank’s roadmap to a national licence.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full credit lifecycle from origination to recovery.
• Develop and enforce credit policies, risk assessment frameworks and ensure compliance with CBN regulations.
• Monitor portfolio performance, analyse trends (PAR, NPLs, recoveries) and implement corrective actions.
• Lead business development, sales and customer‑acquisition initiatives for loan and deposit products.
• Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, corporate partners, cooperatives and other stakeholders.
• Design and execute marketing campaigns across digital, ATL and BTL channels.
• Conduct market research to capture customer needs and competitive dynamics.
• Manage the bank’s brand identity and public communications.
• Lead the design and launch of innovative financial products for youth, women‑owned businesses and other priority segments.
• Develop, implement and monitor financial‑inclusion programmes, tracking KPIs for social impact and sustainability.
• Ensure all growth initiatives align with the 5‑year national licence roadmap.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience overseeing credit operations in a banking or micro‑finance environment.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute marketing strategies that drive customer acquisition.
• Experience managing financial‑inclusion or social‑impact programmes.
• Strong track record of building stakeholder relationships and leading cross‑functional teams.
