Head of Business Development – Waste Management Services

About the role

The Head of Business Development – Waste Management Services will lead the growth of Oilfield Solutions Limited’s waste management portfolio across oil & gas and related sectors. Reporting to senior leadership, the role focuses on securing contracts, expanding market share, and positioning the company as a preferred provider of integrated waste solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the company’s waste management business growth strategy.
• Secure contracts for drilling waste, production waste, tank cleaning, sludge management, solids control, and environmental services.
• Build executive relationships with operators, drilling contractors, and EPC companies.
• Lead pre‑qualification, tendering, proposal development, and contract negotiations.
• Identify new market opportunities across Nigeria and Africa.
• Establish strategic partnerships that strengthen market position.
• Deliver ambitious revenue, profitability, and market expansion objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Business or related discipline (MBA advantageous).
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in business development within oilfield services, environmental services or waste management.
• Proven commercial track record of winning major contracts.
• Extensive network within the oil & gas industry.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and relationship management abilities.
• Strong understanding of environmental regulations and industry best practices.
