Head of Business Development and Marketing

About the role

Technical Services and Equipment Solutions Ltd is looking for a Head of Business Development and Marketing based in Abuja, Nigeria. The role builds the business pipeline for government and enterprise clients, leads key accounts and drives bid management, while also leading the business development and marketing team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a business development strategy targeting Federal MDAs, parastatals, state governments and enterprise clients across Nigeria.
• Own relationships personally with permanent secretaries, directors of ICT, directors of procurement and other key decision-makers across at least 30 priority MDAs and parastatals.
• Oversee proposals, capability statements, technical bids and Expression of Interest (EOI) responses to BPP-driven and selective tenders, ensuring they are competitive, compliant and on time.
• Define and run the company's market positioning through thought leadership, public relations, industry forums and digital channels, focused on B2B and government audiences.
• Recruit, mentor and lead the business development and marketing team, set targets, monitor KPIs and build a culture of disciplined execution.
• Build partnerships with Big Four consulting firms (PwC, KPMG, Deloitte, EY) and other systems integrators to access subcontracted government digital transformation work.
• Track contract pipeline, win rates, customer acquisition cost and revenue forecasts, reporting monthly to the CEO and quarterly to the board.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Minimum of a BSc degree.
