About the role

B&S AGRO AND INTEGRATED SERVICES is offering a 12-month residential internship at its fish hatchery in Bida Local Government Area, Niger State. The Hatchery Assistant receives hands-on training in catfish and tilapia seed production, from broodstock management to fry rearing, with all technical training given on-site. The company seeks committed, trainable young people with minimal experience who want to build skills in aquaculture.

Key responsibilities

Help manage broodstock through feeding, health checks and conditioning
Assist the team during breeding, including egg collection, fertilization and incubation
Track and record daily water conditions such as temperature and dissolved oxygen
Keep hatchery tanks, tools and work areas clean and sanitized
Maintain daily records of eggs hatched, fry produced and survival counts
Support early-stage feeding with live feed and formulated starter diets
Observe and follow biosecurity, safety and hygiene protocols

Required profile

Young people with minimal experience
Committed and trainable
Willingness to live on-site for the 12-month duration
