About the role

B&S AGRO AND INTEGRATED SERVICES is hosting a 12-month practical internship at its fish farm in Bida Local Government Area, Niger State. The Aquaculture Farm Assistant gains hands-on experience in catfish and tilapia farming. The company looks for motivated, well-disciplined youths with little or no prior experience; no technical background is needed because complete training is provided on the farm.

Key responsibilities

Administer fish feed daily according to the farm's schedule and quantities
Monitor fish activity and water quality each day and notify the supervisor of any issues
Take part in regular farm work such as pond maintenance, water exchange, grading, sorting and harvesting
Document daily data including feed applied, fish condition, inventory and mortalities
Comply fully with farm safety, sanitation and biosecurity standards
Assist with the care and cleaning of nets, pumps, aerators and other farm tools
Support the team during fingerling introduction and other planned farm tasks
