Growth Performance Marketer – Consumer

About the role

You will own user acquisition and activation for a consumer mobile product targeting African markets, with a focus on Nigeria. Reporting directly to leadership, you will shape the strategy that drives millions of users to install, engage, and stay active.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full acquisition funnel – awareness, install, activation – across social, referral, influencer, app‑store and partnership channels.
• Build and run a rigorous experimentation engine for onboarding flows, push notifications, in‑app nudges and referral mechanics.
• Develop and maintain dashboards tracking installs, activation rate, DAU/MAU, retention cohorts, referral coefficient, CAC and LTV.
• Drive App Store Optimization (ASO) for Google Play and Apple App Store, including keywords, screenshots, ratings and review management.
• Design and scale referral and invite programs leveraging WhatsApp, organic sharing loops and other social networks.
• Partner with product to optimise onboarding, reduce friction and accelerate time‑to‑value.
• Implement and manage attribution and tracking infrastructure (MMPs, deep linking, SDK events) for both organic and paid channels.
• Manage budgets, forecasting, pacing and spend efficiency with disciplined reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience in mobile user acquisition and activation, preferably in African markets.
• Data‑driven mindset with ability to hypothesise, test, measure and iterate quickly.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret cohort, retention and performance metrics.
• Ability to work autonomously and influence cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• SQL for cohort and retention analysis.
• Mobile attribution tooling (Adjust, AppsFlyer, Branch).
• App Store Optimization (ASO) techniques.
• Paid app install campaign management on Meta, TikTok, Google UAC.
• Referral loop and viral mechanic design.
